Prepare a Meal with Family/Friends

One thing we have in common with anyone and everyone – food.  We can make real connections with people by simply sharing a meal.  You can do an elegant white table cloth affair, organize a pot luck or progressive meal, or have a table full of small plate dishes.  It takes a bit of organizing, but it’s not hard.

Easy Party Foods

Check out our blog on Easy Party Foods which focuses on small bites/small plates.  Or try your hand at Vietnamese Pho – which is a lot of fun.  Just have a pot of pho broth handy, then a bunch of ingredients that each person can add to their bowl of piping hot broth.  Our recipe for Pho in 15 Minutes will tell you what you need.

Need to pump up your side dishes/veggies?  Check out our Easy Gourmet for the Holidays: Side Dishes.

We found other great resources at Delish – 72 Easy Christmas Appetizers. Or, how about our favorite First Lady of the Dinner Party – Martha Stewart.  She has a great article on “Quick Recipes for Entertaining” and a nice “Guide to a Balanced Dinner Party Menu“.
