The Mediterranean Flavors from Serious Foodie explores a few of the many regional foods from this diverse part of the world. The Fig/Orange sauce is Calabrian, coming from an heirloom recipe for marinating and grilling pork. The Spanish Romesco sauce is a staple of many parts of Spain – it’s used on grilled fish, shellfish, and poultry. The Pomegranate Grill sauce comes from our travels in Turkey, where pomegranate-based sauces are used almost everywhere.
