Spring has been officially here since March 20, but it hasn’t been until recently that the weather complied, at least for a large part of the country. Spring brings us more to the out doors, gets us thinking about fresh fruits and vegetables, and has us thinking about light and refreshing wines.
To this end, we began working towards compiling our annual lists of great wine bargains (see our “20 for $20” lists from last year – the Reds and the Whites), looking first at white wines that enliven the palate while matching with some of our favorite spring time dishes.
While the specific wines may be hard to find in your area, we hope that this article will give you some guidance towards a grape variety, or a producer, or a wine country you would not otherwise have selected.
